As general counsel and corporate secretary, Matt is responsible for oversight of all legal and compliance matters across True's global businesses.  Matt leads corporate governance, strategic transactions, and contracting, while partnering with HR, finance, and other True teams to ensure compliance and manage risk, while promoting innovation and growth.

Prior to joining True, Matt spent 20 years as vice president in the Comcast NBCUniversal corporate law department, leading dozens of M&A, financing and technology transactions for the company's diverse global businesses.  He also managed a legal operations team that ensured the efficient and effective operation of Comcast's law departments.  Matt began his career in the corporate department at the Latham & Watkins law firm and later joined Ballard Spahr in Philadelphia before being recruited in-house at Comcast.

While home during Covid, Matt developed a mergers & acquisitions class aimed at developing business-focused lawyers, and he teaches this course at Penn Law School as an adjunct professor.  Matt is based out of True's headquarters in Haddonfield, New Jersey.  He and his wife have two daughters who are currently in college and grad school.
