John joins True with more than 20 years of experience building and scaling customer facing teams and serving industry leading customers such as HPE, Apple, Intel, Cisco, Pfizer and Bank of America. At Amazon Web services (AWS), John established the global accounts industry verticals organization to guide Amazon's largest, most strategic customers to get more value from the cloud. In addition to growing the business to $3B in recurring revenue, John defined and scaled the AWS customer solutions function, hiring and mentoring over one thousand technical and GTM resources globally.
Most recently, John was the WW customer success leader at VMWARE where he was responsible for consumption based cloud services resulting in a 40% improvement in net retention. Additionally, he led the customer experience transformation program, established a customer journey based engagement model and brought a premium customer success advisory service to market.
When he isn't working with a customer, you'll find John taking photos of his kids on the lacrosse field, roasting coffee or experimenting with new culinary techniques.
