Based in London, Richard is a partner in True’s Financial Services Practice, specializing in investment management and the broader private capital ecosystem. He advises clients across fundraising and investor relations, investment, and senior finance and operations roles, partnering with leading asset managers, private equity firms and alternative investment platforms.
Richard brings more than 25 years of experience in executive search and talent advisory, with a strong track record supporting private capital clients in building high-performing leadership teams. His work spans fund formation, capital raising strategies and scaling investment and operational functions across both established firms and emerging managers.
Prior to joining True, Richard was the founder and managing director of Stevenson James, a boutique retained executive search firm focused on the private capital market, where he advised a broad range of clients across Europe on senior hiring and talent strategy. Earlier in his career, he built a strong track record in financial services search, developing long-standing relationships across the investment management landscape.
Richard holds a BEng in Engineering from the University of the West of England.
