A consumer and growth transformation leader behind some of the world’s most well-known brands, Michael is a managing director in True’s CEO, Board and Consumer Practices, where he partners with boards, investors and leadership teams to identify and recruit CEOs, presidents and board directors. He brings deep operating experience across consumer and sports businesses, and also advises on senior go-to-market and commercial leadership roles. His work focuses on leaders who can drive growth, transformation and enterprise value creation.
Michael brings more than 20 years of global experience leading growth and transformation agendas across public, private equity-backed and founder-led businesses, with direct enterprise P&L accountability across companies ranging from $100M to $3B+. Most recently, he served as chief growth officer of the USTA, where he led the organization’s nationwide growth strategy and commercial transformation to expand participation and modernize the sport of tennis. Prior to that, he was president of Solo Stove and chief growth officer of Solo Brands, where he drove operational improvement, product expansion and omnichannel growth across retail and DTC.
Earlier in his career, Michael held senior enterprise leadership roles across leading consumer brands including Oreo, Cadbury, Biofreeze and Pennington. At Central Garden & Pet, he co-led the company’s largest enterprise transformation, delivering significant commercial growth. At Performance Health, he led the reinvention of Biofreeze into the fastest-growing OTC pain relief brand, resulting in a successful sale to a strategic buyer. At Mondelez, he led the global growth agenda across flagship snack brands, resulting in record shareholder returns. He began his career in consulting with BCG and Deloitte.
