Matt O'Connell is a partner in True's People, Talent and Legal practice based out of Fairfield, CT.  He specializes in executive searches for senior legal and HR leaders across various stages and industries, spanning public as well as private investor-backed organizations.  He has also done significant work placing senior talent and human capital professionals at top tier investors.

Current and former clients include Affirm, Aura, Cityblock Health, Fanatics, Insight Partners, IVP, Mayfield, Pinterest, Pivot Bio, Remitly, Roblox, Samsara, Stack Overflow and TPG.

Prior to joining True, he spent a decade in talent strategy in the professional and legal services sectors, including leading talent for Axiom Global’s largest market.  He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston College and was president of the university chorale. In his free time, he enjoys working on his house, trying to exhaust his black lab, and being outdoors.
