Gert brings 20+ years of successful search experience leading C-level searches across different functions and geographies.  He has worked for digital, technology and industry giants, family-owned companies, private equity and venture capital-backed business as well as for professional services firms.  At True, Gert will focus on growth businesses and pure digital players as well as on business sectors and companies in "digital transformation."

Gert joined True from DHR international, where he ran the digital, media and technology practice in EMEA after building CTPartners' business in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.  Previous to that, he was a partner at Eric Salmon & Partners. Prior to his executive search career, Gert held senior management roles with global media corporation Bertelsmann in Europe and in the U.S. He started his career in academia as an assistant professor and research fellow at University of Hamburg.  He has two master's degrees from the University of Hamburg in psychology and in business administration.
