Declan is a principal at True and leads SearchEssentials across APAC, combining rigorous search methodology with an insights-driven approach to transform how organizations make leadership hiring decisions.
Declan first joined True to help establish the firm’s ANZ presence, leading searches across finance and go-to-market functions with a particular focus on VC and private equity-backed technology companies. He subsequently took on a series of operator roles outside the firm—spearheading the New Zealand launch of Elevate, a global sports agency backed by the San Francisco 49ers, and most recently holding senior positions at Go1, a B2B SaaS unicorn in the HRTech space, where he supported the company’s global scale-up. He has since returned to True to lead SearchEssentials across the region.
Declan holds a Master of International Security and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Spanish, both from the University of Sydney.
