Dave is a partner in the HardTech Practice at True, working to solve the board and C-level talent needs for clients across robotics, computing systems, and semiconductors.
Over his 25+ year career in executive search, Dave has been the global head of executive recruiting at Google, where Dave and his team led leadership-level recruiting across all of Google including the core search and cloud businesses as well as the early robotics, autonomous vehicle, and other X-factory ventures. He has been a talent partner at Khosla Ventures, partnering with early-stage companies on their most pressing talent needs, and previously led technology and services practices at two other major executive search firms.
Earlier, as a strategy consultant at McKinsey, Dave was part of the groundbreaking war for talent initiative. Before focusing on talent, Dave was an aerospace engineer, designing hypersonic aircraft for classified programs.
Dave has a Bachelor of Science in aerospace engineering from the University of Kansas, a Master of Science in aerospace engineering and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas.
