Lauren is a recognized global search consultant with over 25 years of executive search experience. She has deep expertise in recruiting C-level, board and diversity talent for life sciences companies at all stages of development. Most recently, she was a managing director and board diversity leader of global life sciences practice at a top search firm where she specialized in VC, CEO and board leadership. A former attorney, Lauren previously headed executive talent for Merck’s R&D division: Merck Research Laboratories, and led executive talent at Quest Diagnostics.
Liam Vernon Silk, Partner | San Francisco
As a former scientist, Liam is drawn to high science and innovation. Prior to True, Liam was head of executive search for Flagship Pioneering were he focused on venture creation and early platform development. He started his career in the lab at Chiron Vaccines and has subsequently worked in talent acquisition for Merck, Novartis, and most recently as director of recruitment for Sana Biotechnology. Liam is also a co-founder of QueerVC, a networking group for the LGBTQIA+ community within the VC ecosystem.
Steve Cornacchia, Partner | Washington DC
Steve brings over 25 years of experience in executive search within the Life Sciences sector. He established his early career working for leading global executive search firms and most recently spent the past decade co-leading the Life Sciences practice of a top 20 boutique executive search firm. Steve’s practice focuses across the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, diagnostics and tools sectors, where he recruits for board, C-suite, general management, commercial, R&D, finance and IT functional placements.
