Wrendon is a Houston-based managing director and Energy Transition, Industrial & Climate Tech Practice sector lead for Industrial and Manufacturing who has broad C-suite and board executive search experience across the industrial sector to include petro-chemicals, instrumentation & machinery, energy/oil & gas, climate tech, engineering procurement & construction and contract manufacturing. Wrendon draws on his management experience and cross-functional background to help clients address their most pressing talent needs.
A veteran of the search industry, Wrendon has a strong track-record of executive placements in both private equity and publicly traded companies. Prior to joining True, Wrendon was a core member of the chemicals & process industries, industrials, CEO, CFO, PE and CIO practices at a top tier firm.
Prior to executive search, Wrendon served as a director of a Houston-based financial advisory and asset management firm. He was also a presidential appointee through the White House Fellowship, serving as a special assistant and advisor to the secretary of labor. Earlier, Wrendon worked for Dow Chemical Company, initially as a general manager of a global commodity chemical line, and subsequently as a commercial director for Dow’s Solar Energy Business. He began his career as a surface warfare officer in the United States Navy, completing two western pacific deployments.
Wrendon earned a bachelor’s degree in systems engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point (top 10% of class) and a master’s from Harvard Business School. He is also a Certified Financial Planner™, Chartered Life Underwriter® and Charter Financial Consultant®.
