Wes is an advisor to True's Climate Tech practice and a General Partner at Kilonova Capital; a special situations fund focused on the private technology sector. 

Before founding Kilonova Capital, Wes helped launch both Energy Impact Partners (EIP) and Mobility Impact Partners (MIP), two private equity funds that invest strategically in the energy and transportation sectors, respectively.  They collectively manage over $1.7B in assets.  At both funds, Wes was focused on sourcing and evaluating AI and enterprise software companies.  Over the last eight years, Wes has also helped launch three companies in data analytics, microgrid development, and enterprise AI spaces.  Before his entrepreneurial endeavors, Wes was a Managing Partner at HTI; a global advisory services firm focused on serving the early stage to middle-market technology sectors (acquired by True in 2021).

 After graduating with a BS from Wittenberg University, Wes studied in Lesotho and South Africa, where he focused predominately on the impact of Apartheid on Sub-Saharan economies.  In his free time, Wes tries to keep up with his two boys and also enjoys skiing, mountain biking, and kitesurfing.
