former Snap Head of Executive Recruiting Matt Skiba join True’s Consumer Practice

July 8, 2020, Haddonfield, NJ - True Search, the fastest growing executive search firm and 7th largest global executive search firm by revenue in North America, expands its Consumer Practice with the addition of two partners: Diane Lavietes, New York beauty, fashion and lifestyle expert, and Matt Skiba, former Head of Executive Recruiting at Snap.

Operating globally from 15 offices, True’s Consumer Practice works with the most innovative consumer-facing brands within beauty, fashion, lifestyle, new retail, consumer digital, health, wellness, and foodtech.

Diane Lavietes brings deep executive search expertise in the beauty, fashion & lifestyle and media industries.

Most recently Diane served as Head of Odgers Berndtson’s Consumer Retail Board in the U.S., where she worked with clients such as L’Oreal, Unilever, Shiseido, Lixil (Grohe and American Standard) and Sakura Art Products. Diane previously worked as an SVP at Berglass Associates, a NYC-based boutique, where her clients included Victoria’s Secret, Keds, Sperry, Rent the Runway and Under Armour. Diane has placed talent across various functions including CEOs in North America, CMOs, Heads of Product Development, IT, Ecommerce and Sales.

Before launching her search career, Diane was an executive in the media and beauty industries for corporations such as The Walt Disney Company, Condé Nast and Elizabeth Arden.

Matt Skiba joins True from Snap, where he was the Head of Global Executive Recruiting. He has completed 67 executive level and strategic searches globally, in tandem with leading Snap’s executive recruiting initiatives. In 2018 and 2019, he partnered with Snap CEO Evan Spiegel to rebuild their entire c-suite and create their executive diversity search strategy. Following this, he took on the role of Head of Global Acquisition & Inside Sales. Both opportunities have allowed him unrivaled experience building and scaling companies from the ground up.

Before Snap, Matt spent three and a half years at Riviera Partners where he helped establish a BD and commercial role designed to bring in new searches and supported the partners who led those searches. He then fully transitioned into an executive search role leading and supporting various executive searches for the likes of Github, Tinder, Hulu, GoPro and more.
