Jon Pomeranz on the Demand for COOs that Focus on Scaled Growth vs. Rapid Growth

Jonathan Pomeranz, co-Head of the Financial Services practice, was quoted in Axios about the growing value of chief operating officers from scaled public companies. COOs who are able to bring products forward are increasingly in demand, as new fintechs emerge and seek out experienced executives to lead their teams.
Last year, fintechs saw the rise of “blitzscaling,” a rapid spend for rapid growth strategy. This year, that’s given way to a more targeted focus on profits.
There's been a "growing need for help around vision and scaled growth versus growth at all cost,” Pomeranz told Axios. “Many of these leaders are coming from scaled public companies."
