As General Counsel at True, Aisha Christian oversees corporate transactions, employment law, risk management, compliance, governance and M&A activities. She has more than 20 years of experience in legal and business affairs leadership focused on corporate transactions, data privacy, employment and labor relations in the professional services, media/entertainment, not-for-profit and ecommerce/retail industries.
Previously, Aisha was general counsel of KIPP NYC, where she managed all aspects of legal affairs. Before that, Aisha was the general counsel and interim head of people for Rent the Runway and held senior legal positions at Russell Reynolds Associates and CNBC. Aisha started her career as a securities attorney at Davis Polk & Wardwell, following her tenure as a law clerk for the Honorable Barrington D. Parker, Jr., United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit (then, Southern District of New York).
Aisha is a board member of the Southampton African American Museum. Aisha received her J.D. from Harvard Law School and her B.A. from Wellesley College, both cum laude.
